Become a Member
Salt Spring Arts Council members are individuals and groups who wish to promote the arts, crafts and the growth of a community with a rich and vital culture. Membership in the Salt Spring Arts Council is available on an annual basis, and is open residents and organizations of Salt Spring Island and organizations within Gulf Islands School District #64. Membership is renewable at any quarter of the year and helps connect you to the island's arts community. The Arts Council provides:
- quarterly newsletters
- introduction of new members
- spotlights on members who are making art, operating studios, writing or performing
- perks like hall rental discount rate, the services of ArtCraft and WinterCraft
- email invitations to special events, openings
2007 Membership Rates
- Regular: $20 including GST
- Student: $15 including GST
- Beginning in 2007 there is no “Guild” or “Group” rate. The focus is on memberships for individuals, who in turn may share their benefits with guilds or groups they belong to.
2007 Rate Structure for Mahon Hall Rental
- Member: $20 / hour
- Non-member: $25 / hour — rent for 4 hours and become a member
