Grants and Awards

The Salt Spring Arts Council provides financial support in the form of grants and awards to individuals and community groups residing in the Lower Gulf Islands — an area defined by the Salt Spring Electoral District and School District #64.

Grants to Individuals or Groups: for projects of cultural benefit to the community. Preference is given to SSAC members and to events that make use of Mahon Hall. Projects of an innovative nature are encouraged.

Awards: for students residing in School District 64, graduating from Secondary School, and for graduates from the District pursuing Post-Secondary education.

Professional Development Grant for Individuals: for those who require assistance to attend short courses or workshops.
